Ok, so my plan was to take a week off and go on vacation on the east coast of Korea. I left with a friend on Friday and went to Gangneung. It was raining hard the whole first day and second day, so I called the weather bureau and it didn't look good. Bummer! So we went to the beach since it was cloudy and raining just slightly then, and then caught a bus back to Seoul. So much for a week of beach.
Now I am back at home for another couple days so I can finish up on some preparing for the new school semester and work on my final project which is fixing up my Web site in Microsoft Publisher. I'm glad I decided to change from Nvu to Publisher, because it allowed me to see what another editor does. My site is coming along nicely, but I am finding some strange glitches in MS Publisher that I don't like. 1. Opening up a link in a new page is a little bit of a pain. 2. Images are saved as a low quality image, so you have to manually put them in the folder and delete the old one. 3. Only Publisher seems to be able to open the html files it creates, so another program that someone else has can't fix it. I guess no program is perfect, but I'd like to find a program that is best for me.
On Wednesday, my friend, Heejin, and I are going to try our luck with traveling again, this time to the south coast of Korea since the weather is supposed to be nice. Our first stop is Namhae and from there I am not sure. I really miss the sun, because I don't have much of a chance to get it here around Seoul and the weather was bad last week when I went to the beach. I guess there's always next year. ;)

Websites and Frustrations
Ok, so I am learning to build a website from scratch. I was 100% clueless how to go about this when I started this class, and now I'm only 99% clueless after hours I spent yesterday tinkering around with stuff on it. I am guessing that the basics are not so difficult, but it's just a matter of even getting to the basics that is frustrating me. I haven't tried any .html editor other than the ultra-basic Notepad, because I wanted to learn some of the basic codes before I move to a more advanced editor. To be honest, I am not even sure what those other editors do. I bet once I learn that, I'll only be 98% clueless. I am hoping I get the hang of this soon. Ugh!

Back in the Game
Just finished my travels around Korea. I could sure have traveled for a bit longer, but my friends were ready to come back to Seoul and chill out. We really did a lot most days and it was very tiring, but also very fun. We started in Busan and then went up the East coast stopping at a couple cities along the way. A few days were spent at the beach, a day climbing a Seorak Mountain, a day checking out some strange and famous park, a day seeing a temple on cliffs overlooking an ocean, and much more. A few beverages were consumed as well. :)
Now I am back and ready for the last 2 modules. My American friends are still visiting, so I won't be able to really pounce on the new assignments quite yet. At any rate, I was able to take a glimpse at what I will be doing, and although it seems a bit foreign to me, I'm pretty excited. A friend of mine in Korea used to work on some websites using HTML (which is designing by code I guess) and so I am pretty excited to get my hands wet learning a little about it. He is here to help me when I need which is a great feeling. I hope my other classmates are doing well too!!
